I created a spread sheet to keep track of school attendance for the 2012-2013 year. It is simple and calculates the number of days in school along with the number remaining. This is based on a 180 days in school. Any numeral in a column will be counted as 1 day no matter what number is used. I use this system to also record field trips.
We are in school all year round so this helps up calculate the days with holidays intermingled. We attempt to have 6 weeks of school with 1-2 week off with a longer break in the Winter and Summer.
